During 2013/2014 summer transfer windows, the following players have been loaned:
27 Years Old, Central/Right Defender
Loaned to Genoa
Roncaglia was loaned on the last day of the transfer window (1st Sep 2014). His loan contract period is set for one year, and the contract includes an option to buy, with one of Fiorentina's fan favorites set to stay in Genoa €3 million. Since the loan deal was struck right after the first match day in Serie A, Roncaglia will be debuting for Genoa against none other than Fiorentina.
19 Years Old, Central Midfielder
Loaned to AS Varese
Varese is currently competing in Serie B after barely managing to stay in the second division in Italy when they finished 18th last season. Fiorentina have also let the youngster go on the last day of the transfer window after securing a few arrivals that would see Capezzi only warming the bench for the rest of the season. Capezzi participated in a Serie B match on 7th Sep on the bench against Carpi. The Viola young man will be facing Lazio this December in the Coppa Italia with his new club.
21 Years Old, Right Back
Loaned to Real Betis
Piccini is off to the Spanish second division after a loan spell at Livorno last season. Terms and negotiations were concluded with a one year loan for the right back on 27th Aug 2014. Piccini played his first match with Real Betis last Sunday and suffered a 4-1 hammering from Ponferradina, where he did however manage to impress the Real Betis faithful.
23 Years Old, Attacking Midfielder
Loaned to Empoli
Newly promoted Empoli reached a deal with Fiorentina for Vecino's loan spell on 14th August 2014. The Uruguayan took the number 88 and recorded an assist in the Coppa Italia, where Empoli beat L'Aquila 3-0. In Serie A, Vecino played well against Udinese and impressed along with his new teammates before Udinese broke down the Tuscan blues with two goals on the hour mark.
20 Years Old, Attacking Midfielder
Loaned to Spezia
After failing to impress Montella or the fans last season, Bakic is off to Serie B to join Spezia on loan with the option to buy. Fiorentina included a counter buy-out clause so that they can bring back the Montenegrin back to Florence if he suddenly turns out to be Rui Costa. The date of the agreement was 12th August 2014, and is set for one season. In the Coppa Italia, Bakic played as a late substitute in a failed attempt to neutralize a 2-1 comeback made by Perugia. The Spezia coach repeated himself in the first Serie B match against Varese, bringing Bakic on after conceding a goal at the 67th minute, but with different results; they equalized shortly thereafter. Bakic's new team then conceded a penalty just two minutes after leveling and ended up losing. Bakic did not make the bench in the second match (probably?) due to a minor injury, but his team won 2-1 thanks to 8 yellow cards and two red cards on Frosinone players... what?!
22 Years Old, Central Defender
Loaned to Bari
With Montella still not sold on the young Italian's abilities to make the first team, Bari brought in the defender on the 11th of August on a one year long contract deal. Bari coach Mangia has kept Camporese on the bench on three different occasions so far. He choose to insert Camporese in the third qualifying round match of the Coppa Italia against Avellino, bizarrely right after the opposition completed a 2-1 comeback. As a Fiorentina fan it is unsettling to see such a promising talent playing only 8 minutes in a losing match, and as a right back not as a center back.
21 Years Old, Attacking Midfielder
Loaned to Bari
Wolski joined his Viola teammate Camporese on the 28th August 2014 on a one year loan. Wolski made the bench in Mangia's squad in the first Serie B match and did not make the squad at all in the loss against Perugia.
20 Years Old, Forward
Loaned to Goteborg (Sweden)
This could be the year to break out for the young Ivorian talent. He was loaned out to Goteborg, when the Swedish first division league was only match days shy of the finish line. Zohore started on the bench in his first match and only came on at the 87th minute in a match that ended 1-1 against Atvidabergs FF. The player was then moved to the U21 team and started one match late last month and was substituted after failing to score after 72 minutes. The first team played three more matches in the league without the presence of Zohore who seems to be having difficulties matching his loan spell at Brondby last season, where he scored 5 goals in 29 appearances.
21 Years Old, Right Wing
Loaned to Crotone
The Cameroon / French national impressed the fans in Fiorentina friendly matches this summer, but keeping Cuadrado played a part in the club loaning him out on the last day of the transfer window. Beleck was loaned to Crotone on a one year long contract deal. Beleck played as a center forward for 90 minutes in his debut against US Latina Calcio in Serie B, but failed to score. The match was lost due to a late winner by the opposition.
22 Years Old, Right Wing
Loaned to Modena
The Acosty loan deal was reached on 25th July 2014, where Acosty joined Viola teammate Salifu in Serie B. Acosty probably had the best start to his loan spell of all Fiorentina players. He played 3 full matches out of the possible 4 between Serie B and Coppa Italia, and scored the tying goal against Cittadella, giving his new club a valuable point.
21 Years Old, Forward
Loaned to Cordoba (La Liga)
Matos is out of Serie A and into La Liga to strengthen Cordoba's attack, with the agreement reached on 21st July 2014. The Brazilian's debut was in a 2-0 loss against Real Madrid, where the coach chose to substitute him on the hour mark after playing him as a second striker. His second match was not better as he played as a left winger and substituted right after the first half with the score 0-0; the match ended 1-1 against Celta de Vigo.
21 Years Old, Central Midfielder
Loaned to Modena
Amidu has been at Modena for a year and is continuing his loan spell for another year. The loan deal is set to expire in summer 2015. Salifu is a personal favorite among the young players for me and has the potential to strengthen Fiorentina's defensive midfield capabilities. In the Coppa Italia, Salifu appeared in both winning matches against Brianza and Palermo, accumulating two yellow cards (one in each match). He played in both Serie B matches as well, where Modena drew against Cittadella and lost to Lanciano.
20 Years Old, Left Wing
Loaned to Leipzig (Bundesliga 2)
Ante Rebic had a dream chance to shine last season, when Rossi and Gomez were injured at the same time, but did not come through (unlike Matos). His inexperience showed and it was time to send him away to gain experience. A one year loan deal was reached with Leipzig Red Bull from the German second division league on 3rd August 2014. Wearing the number 10 for his new team, Ante was not included in the squad for the first two matches and was substituted in the third game in the last 24 minutes; the match ended as a scoreless tie with Frankfurt.
