Line-Ups and Match Thread: Roma vs. Fiorentina

Well, it's here. The big big day. And there is plenty to get excited about.

There is just the one big surprise in the formation that Vincenzo Montella has brought to challenge Roma, with young Joshua Brillante making his Serie A debut in a huge away match, favored over Alberto Aquilani. David Pizarro was able to overcome some injury niggles in time to make the starting lineup, as Fiorentina begin without the suspended Juan Cuadrado and therefore will lineup with a 4-3-1-2 that sees Borja Valero (captain tonight) slot in behind a powerful front two of Khouma Babacar and Mario Gomez.

For Roma, much has been made of their "defensive emergency" but while they are missing most of their starting defenders and have just sold Benatia, their back four still look quite decent, with Ashley Cole and Kostas Manolas making their Serie A debuts. Of course, we will be hoping that Manolas and Astori struggle against a very motivated Gomez. The rest of Rudi Garcia's Roma is as expected, as Kevin Strootman is still not quite fit to play. Keep an eye on the energy and creativity of Gervinho and Juan Iturbe on the wings against Marcos Alonso and Nenad Tomovic.

I'll leave the rest of it up to you Nation, you know very well what to do below the line. FORZAAAA VIOLAAAAAAAA FACCI SOGNARE!

ROMA (4-3-3): De Sanctis; Torosidis, Manolas, Astori, Cole; Nainggolan, De Rossi, Pjanic; Iturbe, Totti (c), Gervinho

FIORENTINA (4-3-1-2): Neto; Tomovic, Gonzalo, Savic, Alonso; Brillante, Pizarro, Vargas; Borja Valero (c); Gomez, Babacar
