Dramatic night with Stambouli transfer

The official Montpelier website has confirmed that the club has reached an agreement with Tottenham Spurs. The announcement came as a shock to Viola and Spurs fans all together. The announcement was soon followed by an elaboration from the French Media Group insisting that the French outfit has only reached an agreement with both FIorentina and Tottenham.

Other media organizations reported that the player is set to travel to London (Should be there if true) to do his medical and eventually sign with Premier League club.

This kind of drama is probably acceptable at the end of the transfer window since things need to go faster than usual and the delays point to that the player will going to England rather than Italy. Tottenham just secured a spot in Europa League Group stage and that could be what the club/player waiting for before the decision is made.

On another front, Della Valle was interviewed yesterday to confirm that Juan Cuadrado will be wearing purple this season again.

"I can say with certainty Cuadrado is staying,"

"It's a big present for the city. I hope it's the strongest Viola of the Della Valle era."

Montella in his pre-season interview has shared how he feels about Cuadrado staying "I am happy, very happy indeed that Cuadrado is staying with us,"

"Juan is an important player for this club"

Fiorentina are yet to release any official statement regarding Stambouli and so we could stay hopeful, it will not be for long before the player's destination is revealed. Fiorentina since then were linked Kurtic from Sassuolu who Ilicic confirmed he wants to join the purple outfit.
