Knockout Stage Day 4: All Group Winners

Argentina and Belgium qualify to the Quarterfinals with difficulty to comprise the last eight of all Group Stage winners. Wasteful USA & Switzerland leave the competition with heads held high after World class performances.

ARGENTINA 1-0 SWITZERLAND

It took 118 minutes for Messi and Di Maria to break down the Swiss defenses on a counter attack. Switzerland wasted a one on one chance in the first half and hit the post in the last minute of the match before the whistle that put Argentina through.

BELGIUM 2-1 USA

This match was a repeat of the German-Algerian battle. Belgium coach inserted Lukaku in the first extra time half to seal the win with two goals. USA coach Klinsmann brought in Green who took one back and football witnessed amazing few minutes of will from the American to tie the match. Unfortunately, this tournament smiled for Group winners Belgium and denied USA the draw.
