It is unhealthy to be too upset with the refereeing mistakes that seem to constantly chase the purple side of Serie A. It is especially not healthy when the team has yet 40 days of continues action in Serie A and UEFA Europa League against tough opponents. That is to be left as one of Summer 2014 most talked about subject in my opinion. Would be lovely if the main thought is "Even the referees could not stop Fiorentina from qualifying to the Champions League".
Now moving on to this week's statistics, will be taking a look on how ranks have changed and if the team or any of its individual made new top fives.
TEAM OFFENSIVE STATISTICS
Fiorentina retain their position in 5th with a slightly increased shot per game average. Juventus is still on Top with 17.6 shots per game

Dribbles per game average increases slightly but enough to overtake Roma following Fiorentina's match with Inter. Inter occupy first spot with 14.5, three more dribbles per game to Lazio in second.

Fiorentina are second to Livorno in the most fouled teams. No changes in ranking since Week 22 and Inter did ensure Fiorentina keep their average by using their 3rd and 4th legs at times in the match and getting booked 4 times during the match.

Pass success percentage is still anyone's game as Juventus are second with 86.3% while Roma are at 86.7%. A few more accurate passes would see Fiorentina take the lead on this one in no time.

It is notable to state that Fiorentina have the lowest offside average per game at 1.4. the leading bunch of this stat are Torino, Chievo, Atalanta and Udinese. This is a sentiment to Montella's style of possession which can hardly result in offsides. We are certainly giving each sideline referee a break for almost 45 minutes.
TEAM DEFENSIVE STATISTICS
Less shots conceded average and ranking which can be attributed to Roma thrashing Sampdoria in an almost empty stadium that made Sampdoria take our spot at rank 12. Juventus lead this category with only 9 shots conceded per game.

The following stat should not be all that worrying since Fiorentina depend more on interceptions and blocking the ball paths. Also trying to keep possession does not really give the team many opportunities to tackle or intercept but there is always room for improvement. Slightly improved in the tackling ranking after playing Inter to put struggling Cagliari back in last place. Fiorentina are going to face the pack leader of this category Parma in their next Serie A fixture with 25.1 tackles per game.

Fiorentina continues to hold on to the least fouls committed per game among Serie A teams. My concern here is that referees feel that Fiorentina get double the fouls they commit almost every match and so ignoring a penalty or an offside is ok sometimes... i may be harsh here... i probably mean every other week?!

Other somehow notable defensive stats to be mentioned are that Fiorentina are mid-table in interceptions made per game at 15.8.
INDIVIDUAL STATISTICS
In this section, only players who make the top 5 or worst 5 depending on the type of stat discussed will be mentioned.
POSITIVE STATS
7 weeks after his injury, Rossi's 14 goals are still good as top league scorer with Immobile and Tevez right behind him at 13 goals each. Valero's absence due to yellow cards accumulation suspension against Inter saw him fall to 3rd place in assists behind loaned teammate Romulo and former Viola man Cerci.Mati Fernandez continues to be the best passer in Serie A. The pass success percentage rankings saw Pizarro climb up into the top 10 courtesy to his beautiful display of long passes against Inter. No changes to Savic being the 4th best air dueler in Serie A even though he did not play against Inter due to injury. Savic also continues to be 3rd in interceptions per game average among all Serie A players. Juan Cuadrado pushed his dribbles per game average a little to the positive side retaining his position in first.
