Marko Marin's adventure in Fiorentina could already be over, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. The forward hasn't impressed Vincenzo Montella, and will likely head back to Chelsea from which he was on loan at Fiorentina. Marin only featured in four games in Europa League, but hasn't been able to break into the first team for any of Serie A matches. Even with numerous injuries of the viola forwards, the artist formerly known as The German Messi wasn't finding space.
Transfer rumors
It remains to be seen whether Marin can pull off a Joaquin, by applying himself in training and persuading Montella to give him a run in the first team after almost forgetting he exists. However, with Khouma El Babacar getting back from injury, and, hopefully (knock on wood) Giuseppe Rossi following relatively soon, Marin could find himself even further away from getting some playing time.
Reports suggest that he might not be the only one. Another loanee from Premier League, Micah Richards, might find himself in the similar situation. Richards too has failed to establish himself within the first team, and the fact that he isn't used to a three men defense isn't helping his cause.
