Clubs apparently want Ilicic

To the bafflement of most (if not all) Fiorentina fans, the Slovenian is a prospective January target for clubs across Europe

Josip Ilicic has done some good things for Fiorentina since arriving for 9 million Euro from Palermo, including a couple lovely goals and assists. But it should come as no surprise to anyone who watches la Viola regularly that the club is ready to move on the frustrating and slow Slovenian if a decent bid arrives.

What IS surprising to Fiorentina fans is that there are offers for Ilicic. Apparently MANY of them. 7 different clubs have been linked with the out-of-favor "winger" in the past week alone!

Here's a breakdown of rumored potential destinations:

Fiorentina *might* offer him on loan to Lazio (whose head coach apparently rates him) in a high profile loan-swap deal for Miroslav Klose.

Torino and Sampdoria want him on loan.

Udinese would be interested in bringing in him and Lazzari for Luis Muriel. The 23 year old Colombian has continued to labor to find first team football, but would be an interesting addition to the striking roster, especially since he would rejoin Colombia teammate Juan Cuadrado.

According to La Nazione, both Werder Bremen and Bayer Leverkusen would be interested in buying the player outright.

But the best rumor comes courtesy of British source talkSPORT, who believe that Everton coach Roberto Martinez is eager to bring the Slovenian to Merseyside and the Premier League. Here's how talkSPORT justify the Everton interest in Ilicic to the UK public: "The 26-year-old has been in fine form for the Viola this term and Martinez has been impressed with the talented winger after receiving glowing scouting reports from his team."

I guess we'll just keep quiet then.
