Vincenzo Montella has named his starting eleven, with a couple surprises and a shift away from the 3-5-2 that was so successful against Udinese.
The blucerchiati are undefeated at home this season in an impressive beginning to their season under former Fiorentina manager Sinisa Mihajlovic, and are just coming off of a tight road loss in Milan to Inter. Sampdoria top scorer Manolo Gabbiadini has looked particularly impressive, but starts from the bench today, emphasizing that the Genoese team is built on group solidity and discipline (and a knack for set pieces) more than flair and invention. It will be interesting to see if la Viola can loosen them up a bit and maybe even hand them their first home loss of the season.
