European World Cup Qualifying continues today

53 nations will participate in the European World Cup Qualifiers. 13 of them will qualify for the World Cup.

The 53 nations are broken up into 8 groups of 6 teams and 1 group of 5 teams. Each team will play the others in their group at home and away. The 9 group winners qualify directly to the World Cup, while the 8 best group runners up will go into round two. The eight teams in round two will be paired into four home-and-away series. The 4 winners will go onto the World Cup

Stevan Jovetic and Stefan Savic will face off at San Marino later today. Montenegro tied their first match with Poland and Jovetic had a chance to score the winning goal and scuffed it. He stood up in the press, took ownership of the error and apologized to the fans. 3 Pts are a must today for Jojo and the gang as Poland is hosting Moldova. England is at home against Ukraine, which could be tricky as the Three Lions are missing several players due to injury.

Nenad Tomovic and the Serb squad had a scoreless tie at Scotland on match day one and look to get their first win in group action today at home against Wales, who have zero pts. 3 pts are a must as both Belgium and Croatia started off with wins and will play each other today in Brussels. Scotland host Macedonia.

After a 2-2 tie in Bulgaria, Cesare Prandelli will look to get a win against Malta. Italy are currently in a four way tie for second with 1 pt, behind group leading Armenia. Armenia will play at Bulgaria in the other group match today.

Chile will be looking to take back the group lead while Colombia will be looking to stay in contention.
